Sammy Sosa connected with a 'big fly' at the ballpark as the Chainsaw
Proctologists came back dramatically to top the SSB SSB Tar Heels by the
score of 3 to 2.
Chainsaw had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs using 2
hits. Lew Ford opened up the inning nicely when he drew a walk. Rick Graves
then called for a steal which was successful. Jack Wilson then slapped a
single knocking in a run. After an out was recorded, Endy Chavez came up and
he singled making Chainsaw the winners and sending the 10,343 fans home
happy. Chainsaw finished with 9 hits while SSB ended up with 6.
The victory was credited to Chad Bradford(1-1) who went 2/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Mariano Rivera(7-5) suffered the loss in relief. He
allowed 2 hits and 1 walk in 1/3 of an inning.
